Called Holy Year Jacobeo (in Galician: Holy Anus Xacobeo) to the year in which on July 25 it falls down in Sunday. This happens with a regular cadence of 6-5-6-11 years, so that every century they are celebrated fourteen Years Santos Jacobeos. In these years the Catholics can enrich the jubilee. For it the requirements are the following ones:

1. To visit the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, in Galicia, Spain where, according to a tradition, the Major one is the tomb of Santiago.

2. To say some prayer and to ask for the intentions of the Pope.

3. To receive the sacraments of the penance (it can be fifteen days before or later) and of the communion. One recommends to hear Mass. It is a custom, in addition, to cross the Holy Door of the Cathedral.

The grace of the jubilee consists fundamentally of a plenary indulgence for the pardon of a sorrow that the sins deserve.

The first Year To rejoice serious established by the Pope Calixto II the year 1126. The last ones have been 1993, 1999, 2004 and 2010. The next one will be in 2021.
